This 2nd gear bracket lock tab is a small but essential safety component for the internal transmission assembly of vintage Harley-Davidson motorcycles. It is designed to fit 1935-1973 45" Flathead models and serves as a direct replacement for OEM numbers 2299-33A and 35335-33. The lock tab is used to prevent critical fasteners from backing out due to vibration, ensuring that the 2nd gear bracket remains securely in place. During any transmission service or rebuild, it is best practice to replace these tabs with new ones to ensure maximum reliability. Sold individually, this Samwel lock tab is built to original factory specifications.
