About This Product
S&S 585 Easy Start gear drive camshaft kit. This is a complete kit with inner and outer drive gears and installation hardware. It fits 1999 to 2006 Twin Cam models except the 2006 Dyna. In an 88 to 103-inch engine the power band is 3500 to 6000 RPM. In larger builds it is 2500 to 5500 RPM. The Easy Start lobe lifts the exhaust valve during cranking so a stock starter can turn the motor. These are high-lift cams. They are not a simple bolt-in for early Twin Cams. You will need high-lift valve springs and you will likely need to clearance the cam chest.
