When you are building a 1954 to early 1977 Big Twin and find that the standard sizes are too tight, this Yellow color-coded S&S pinion gear is the smallest option in the range. It is designed to replace OEM 24010-54 and must be used in conjunction with a 1973 to 1999 style 24-tooth driven gear, such as OEM 26345-73. Using a smaller gear like this can help provide the necessary clearance to prevent binding and premature wear in the timing chest. S&S maintains the original Harley-Davidson color-coding system, ensuring that mechanics can accurately select the right gear to eliminate noise and ensure smooth, reliable engine performance.
