About This Product
For 2000 to 2006 Softail owners looking to build a 96, 103, or 106-inch big bore or stroker motor, this S&S flywheel assembly is a perfect starting point. It features a 4-3/8" stroke and is balanced for a 1035-gram total piston weight. The connecting rods are designed with non-tapered wristpin ends, so you will need to use S&S pistons. These flywheels are engineered for Timken sprocket shaft bearings, providing a much stronger interface than the stock 2003-up roller bearing, OEM 24004-03B. While the roller bearing can be used, S&S recommends the Timken conversion for any high-performance application to ensure the bottom end can handle the added stress. This precision-manufactured assembly is a complete unit for performance builds.
