About This Product
Installing the sprocket shaft seal, also known as the crankshaft main seal, requires precision to prevent leaks and ensure longevity. This JIMS installer tool is designed to seat the OEM 12068 seal into the left-side engine case perfectly straight and without any distortion. It fits 1995–2022 XL Sportster models, 2008–2012 XR1200 models, and 1995–2010 Buell models. Please note that this tool must be used with a JIMS driver handle, which is sold separately. Using the correct installer ensures that the seal's lip is not damaged during the process, providing a reliable, leak-free seal for the primary drive side of your motor, even under high-performance conditions.
