It features an outer diameter of 1.0035 inches and is uniquely designed with both a drilled hole for 1954 to 1972 side-oiling applications and a slotted hole for 1973 to 1992 end-oiling setups. This versatility makes it a staple in the workshop. To do the job right, I recommend using the JIMS 978300 removal tool and the 978280 installation tool. It is a precision component that ensures your oiling system performs exactly as the factory intended.
