It is used to align the oil pump to the cam support plate on 1999 to 2017 Twin Cam models, which is critical for preventing scavenging issues and ensuring oiling efficiency. Additionally, it serves to align the tappet blocks on late 1976 to 1999 Big Twin models, ensuring the lifters run perfectly true on the camshaft.
