When it comes to charging system reliability, this Spyke heavy-duty 32-amp alternator stator is a significant upgrade over stock units. Unlike standard molded stators, this un-molded design allows for far better heat dissipation, which is the primary cause of stator failure. It features thicker copper wiring to handle the increased load and comes equipped with a standard 2-pin female connector. This stator fits 1989 to 1999 Big Twin models, though it excludes 1995 to 1996 FLTCUI, 1996 FLHRI, and 1997 to 1999 Touring models, as well as 1999 Dyna models. It is an excellent choice for riders who have added electrical accessories and need a more robust charging solution that can withstand the heat of long-distance touring.
