About This Product
This retaining ring is used for the transmission access door countershaft bearing, a critical point in the gearbox. It fits 1994-1998 Big Twins and 1991-2005 XL Sportsters. It is a direct replacement for OEM 35021-89. When you're doing transmission work, these rings should be inspected and ideally replaced to ensure the bearing stays securely locked in the door. We sell these in a pack of 10, providing plenty of spares for the workshop. Using a fresh retaining ring is cheap insurance against bearing movement, which could otherwise lead to significant transmission damage.
