About This Product
This inner retaining ring secures the mainshaft ball bearing in the transmission of late-1984 Harley-Davidson XL Sportster, XLS, and XLX models. It prevents the bearing from migrating along the mainshaft under load, maintaining correct bearing pre-load and gearbox alignment. Replaces OEM part 35112-84. An essential component for transmission rebuilds on these Sportster models transitioning to the five-speed gear-change design.
