About This Product
MCS starter gear shift lever for 1967-1980 XL Sportster. This lever engages the starter motor with the engine drive gear. The pivot points and contact faces wear after decades of use. Worn levers cause poor starter engagement and can chew up the ring gear. This part replaces OEM 31424-67. Fit it and the starter will engage properly again.
