About This Product
MCS OEM-style ignition coil. This is a 12-volt, 5-ohm coil for points ignition systems. It fits 1965 to 1979 Big Twin and XL Sportster models. The finish is black. It replaces OEM 31609-65A. Primary resistance is 5 ohm, so match it to your points setup. Do not use this with electronic ignition modules that expect a different primary resistance. Mount it in the stock location and check your plug gap after fitting.
