About This Product
If you are rebuilding the front end on a classic Sportster or FX, you know that the small details keep the oil where it belongs. This MCS retaining ring is designed for 35mm Showa forks and serves as the essential stopper that clamps inside the fork slider, right above the fork seal. It is a direct replacement for OEM 45908-80 and fits a wide range of models, including 1975 through 1987 FX, XL Sportster, FXR, and FXRS models. These rings often become corroded or bent during removal, so replacing them during a seal change is a smart move to ensure the seal stays seated under pressure. This part is conveniently supplied as a pack of ten.
