About This Product
MCS mechanical starter relay. Black finish. Replaces OEM 71455-67. Fits 1967 to early 1968 and late 1971 to 1974 XL Sportsters. Also fits 1970 to 1973 FL models. These old mechanical relays stick or burn their contacts after fifty years. If yours clicks but the solenoid does not pull in, test the battery and earth first. A low battery drops coil voltage and causes the same symptom. Check the mounting bracket earth path before you blame the relay.
Manufacturer part number: 904551.
