About This Product
This first gear transmission mainshaft serves as a quality replacement for worn or damaged gears in your Sportster transmission. Features non-high-contact gear teeth as used in original equipment through 2004. Note that 1995–2006 models use finer pitch teeth, so installing this gear on those models requires replacing the corresponding gear as well for proper mesh. Replaces Harley-Davidson OEM part 35762-89A. Fits 1991–2004 XL Sportster and 1991–1992 Buell models. See catalog for complete technical information on gear compatibility.
