Pulling a transmission apart requires the right gear, and this MCS main drive gear and bearing tool kit is essential for 6-speed Big Twin owners. It fits 2007 to 2024 Softail and Touring models, as well as 2006 to 2017 Dynas. The remover side of the tool allows you to pull the transmission main drive gear from the bearing, while the installer side is designed specifically for pressing in the main transmission case bearing, equivalent to OEM 8967 or 8967A. A major advantage of this kit is that it ensures the correct bearing angle for a perfectly straight insertion, preventing bore damage. Best of all, you can use this tool without having to pull the entire transmission from the bike.
