It installs directly into the crankcase, positioned close to the oil pump to pre-filter the oil before it reaches the lifters. This screen is a direct replacement for OEM 24981-66 and 965431, specifically designed for late 1966 to 1969 Big Twin models. It is a simple but vital component for maintaining oil pressure and preventing debris from damaging sensitive engine parts during operation.
