About This Product
MCS chrome top motor mount for XL Sportsters. It replaces OEM 16278-86B on 1986 to 1994 XL models. The mount bolts to the top of the motor and ties the engine to the frame. Check your clamping load when you fit it. The chrome brightwork tidies up the top end but the job is the same as the factory part. It keeps the engine aligned and stops the top end shifting under primary torque. Fit it with the correct thread pitch and torque to spec.
