Pulling a transmission is a big job, and you want the right tools to make sure the rebuild goes smoothly. This MCS main drive gear bearing tool is essential for installing both the inner and outer main drive gear bearings, equivalent to part 8042A, as well as the 12077 main drive gear seal. It is designed for 6-speed transmissions found on 2007 to 2026 Softail and Touring models, 2009 to 2026 Trikes, and 2006 to 2017 Dyna models. Note that the transmission must be removed from the bike to use this kit. It is a heavy-duty solution for professional results, matching the requirements of part number 987927.
