About This Product
This KB Performance high-compression pop-up piston kit is designed to increase the performance of your 1340cc Shovelhead. Sold as a set in a +.005" oversize, these pistons provide a 9.5:1 compression ratio. They are made from T6 heat-treated 390 hypereutectic cast aluminum with 16% silicone, allowing for tight operating clearances and minimal noise. This kit fits 1979 to 1984 Harley-Davidson 1340cc Shovelhead models. Note that the top compression ring requires additional clearance. Additionally, because of the wider ring pack used for stability, some stock cylinders may require the oil return holes to be relocated lower to prevent oil consumption. This kit is a great choice for riders seeking more power from their late Shovelhead.
