These Fast Eddy .105-inch diameter gauge pins are used to check the pitch diameters of pinion and cam gears on 1954 to 1989 Big Twins. Proper sizing prevents the whining noise associated with tight gears and the clicking noise of loose ones, both of which can lead to bearing damage. These are Class Z gauge pins, holding a incredibly tight 0.0002-inch tolerance for absolute accuracy.
