The ThunderMax EFI system replaces the stock ECM on Harley-Davidson Touring models. It is a wide-band, closed-loop, self-tuning unit. It adjusts the air-fuel ratio in real time as altitude, temperature, or fuel quality changes. It works with stock bikes or those running high-flow exhausts and air cleaners. Throttle response is sharper, starting is easier, and the motor runs smoother. You can drop the idle speed to keep the engine cooler in traffic. It needs 18mm exhaust sensor bungs. These were standard on 2007 to 2009 models. You can add them to later pipes.
