Splitting cases is a delicate job, and this JIMS crankcase splitter and flywheel removal tool is the only way to do it right without risking damage. It fits 1955 to 2006 Big Twin models, excluding the 2006 Dyna. Manufactured from heavy-duty half-inch thick A36 hot rolled steel, it is built to handle the pressure of breaking the case sealer and pressing the flywheel assembly in or out of the right-side case on Timken bearing models. For 2000 to 2006 Softail engines, it works specifically for removing the flywheel from the left case. It is designed for use with a standard ratchet—never use air or electric impact tools on this precision equipment.
