This S&S generator cam cover kit is a high-strength upgrade for late 1948 to 1953 OHV Big Twins using original crankcases. Cast from 356-T6 aluminum with a burnished finish that matches S&S cases, this cover is CNC-machined for precision tolerances far exceeding stock parts. It features a redesigned internal baffle chamber that improves crankcase ventilation and oil-air separation. The cover comes with bushings already installed and reamed to factory specs, including an 11/16-inch ID pinion bushing. The kit includes the gear cover gasket and all necessary hardware. Please note that the generator mounting holes are 1/4-inch; if you are using a 1958 or later generator, these will need to be drilled out to 5/16-inch. This kit is not compatible with side-valve models.
