This chrome flathead Allen bolt is a specific fastener used for mounting the dust shield to the shifter pawl carrier on 1952 to early 1979 4-speed Big Twin models with a ratchet top. It is a 10/24 x 1-1/4 inch bolt that serves as a replacement for OEM 1764W. Note that while the original OEM bolt was 1-5/32 inches long, this version may require slight shortening for a perfect fit. Sold as a pack of 5, these Gardner-Westcott bolts are essential for maintaining the correct hardware on vintage transmissions.
