JIMS blue pinion gear. This is an average-sized option. It fits late 1977 to 1989 Big Twin engines. It replaces OEM number 24044-78. The colour-coded range covers OEM numbers 24040-78 through 24046-78. Machined from American aerospace tool steel. You need the correct colour code to achieve proper cam gear lash. Check the fit before you torque the cam cover down. Wrong size makes noise and wears the valve train prematurely.
