About This Product
This Barnett outer drive plate is an essential part of the clutch assembly for 1971 to early 1984 XL Sportsters. It features an alloy friction surface bonded on one side only, specifically designed to sit at the end of the clutch pack. Only one of these plates is required per assembly. Replacing a worn outer plate is vital for ensuring even pressure across the entire clutch stack and preventing premature wear on your other plates. This component is a direct replacement for OEM 37987-71 and meets all factory specifications for fit and function on your vintage Sportster.
