About This Product
MCS Hitachi starter shaft housing. This housing fits Hitachi starters on 1973 to early 1979 FX Shovelhead models. It does not fit FL models. Replaces OEM 31572-73. Fit this when the original housing is damaged or the drive alignment is out. It keeps the starter drive components lined up with the ring gear. A necessary part for rebuilding a Hitachi starter.
