About This Product
MCS Prestolite-style starter motor housing replaces OEM 31462-67 and 939132. It fits 1967 to 1980 XL Sportster models. The housing locates the starter shaft and keeps the drive gear aligned precisely with the primary ring gear. Check the mating face for pitting or cracks before fitting. The dowel pins must seat properly to avoid misalignment. It is sold as a single housing.
