About This Product
This Paughco Mustang universal gas tank offers a classic 3.0-gallon capacity for Big Twin models. It features a dual-cap design that accepts pre-1983 bayonet-style vented gas caps and is threaded for a 3/8 NPT pre-1975 style petcock. The tank measures approximately 16.5 inches long and 12 inches wide, with an 18-inch hole-to-hole mounting bracket distance. As with any custom sheet metal, we always recommend pressure testing, sealing, and test-fitting the tank before you send it off for paint. The factory coating is strictly for rust prevention during storage and is not a finished primer, so proper preparation is key to a show-quality finish.
