About This Product
This 2.25-gallon fuel tank is an OEM-style replacement for mid-eighties to early-nineties Sportsters. It retains the iconic peanut shape and features a right-side 22mm petcock bung. Designed to work with 1983-up screw-type gas caps, it is a straightforward replacement for a rusted or dented stock unit. This tank fits 1983 to 1991 Sportster XL models and replaces OEM numbers 61023-83 and 61023-83D. We always advise that you pressure test, seal, and test-fit the tank on your frame before sending it off for paint.
