If you're looking to build a truly unique fuel tank, starting with these Paughco gas tank shells is the way to go. These are the exact same plain steel shells that Paughco uses in their own production, measuring 16 inches long, 8.5 inches wide, and 7 inches deep. Because they are sold as individual shells, you can modify them during the fabrication process to achieve the perfect balance for your custom project. Note that you will need two shells to complete one tank, and you'll need to source your own tunnel, bungs, and mounts separately. As with any custom fabrication, we always recommend pressure testing and test-fitting before you send it off for paint.
