The MCS mainshaft clutch gear has 17 teeth. The OEM reference is 37448-84A. It fits late 1984 to 1986 XL Sportster transmissions. Count the teeth on your old gear before ordering. Inspect the mainshaft splines and gear engagement dogs while the primary is apart. A worn mainshaft will wreck a new gear quickly. Torque the clutch hub to spec. Check end float after reassembly. Check the clutch hub bearing while you are in there.
