987919 Top dead center tool

Finding top dead center is critical for static timing, and this MCS tool makes the job simple. It features a 5/8"-18 thread that installs directly into the timing hole to find and hold the flywheel in place. The center is open, so you can still see the flywheel marks clearly while you work. It is designed for 1938 to 1999 Big Twins (excluding Twin Cams), 1952 to 2003 Sportsters, and 1938 to 1973 45-inch Flathead models. Just remember to use light pressure to avoid damaging the flywheel and remove it as soon as you are finished.
