About This Product
MCS starter shaft spacer for Shovelhead and early Evolution belt-drive starters. It replaces OEM 31311-80 and fits 1983 to 1984 FL models, 1980 to 1984 FXB Sturgis models, 1986 to 1988 Softail FXST models, and 1985 to 1986 Wide Glide FXWG models. This spacer sets the correct end float for the starter shaft. Too much play here wears the starter gear and ring gear prematurely. Replace it whenever you rebuild the starter drive.
