About This Product
These Cometic starter motor mount gaskets are built from .032" AFM (Aluminum Foamet Material), featuring an aluminum core sandwiched between chemically blown nitrile synthetic foam rubber layers. The dark gray composite construction offers excellent sealing without needing additional gasket sealers or silicone beads, and they resist temperatures beyond 250°F while maintaining 85% recovery and strong torque retention. This pack contains ten gaskets, perfect for shop stock or multiple rebuilds. They replace OEM numbers 31488-81, 31488-81A, 31488-81B and 31488-81C, fitting 1981–2022 XL Sportster and 2008–2012 XR1200 models. No re-torqueing required once installed.
