This Evolution Industries EasyStart jackshaft assembly is the required companion for their 84-tooth starter ring gear conversion on early Big Twins. It features a 9-tooth pinion gear and is designed to fit 1989 to 1993 Big Twin models. This is a complete conversion kit that includes the jackshaft, bolt, spring, pinion gear, thrust washer, lock plate, and couplings. By moving to the 84-tooth ring gear system, you improve the mechanical advantage of the starter motor, making it much easier to turn over large-bore engines. It is a robust solution for riders who need consistent, reliable starting power on their classic Evolution-era motorcycles.
