If you are rebuilding an Evolution motor, this KB Performance 1340cc Evo Big Twin piston kit offers a high-quality +.010" oversize solution. Sold as a set, these flat-top pistons deliver a dependable 8.5:1 compression ratio. They are manufactured from T6 heat-treated 390 hypereutectic aluminum with 16% silicone, which is the secret to running tight clearances without the usual piston noise. These fit 1984 to 1999 1340cc Evolution Big Twin models. As with most KB kits, the top compression ring needs extra clearance, so do not skip that step in the instructions. It is a straightforward way to restore factory-fresh performance and quiet operation to your Evo engine.
