About This Product
This KB Performance piston kit is sold as a set and designed for 1979 to 1984 1340cc Shovelhead engines. These .030-inch oversized pistons are manufactured from T6 heat-treated 390 Hypereutectic aluminum with 16% silicone, allowing for tight tolerances and minimal piston slap. With an 8.0:1 compression ratio and a 0.426-inch dome, they provide reliable power for your vintage Big Twin. Be aware that some stock 1340cc Shovel cylinders may require the oil return holes to be relocated due to the wider ring pack used for better stability. As with all KB cast pistons, the top compression ring needs specific clearance adjustments during assembly to ensure longevity and peak performance.
