About This Product
This KB Performance 1340cc Shovelhead piston kit is a high-quality +.040" oversize option for your next top-end rebuild. Sold as a set, these pistons deliver an 8.0:1 compression ratio and are manufactured from T6 heat-treated 390 hypereutectic aluminum. With a 16% silicone level, you can run these with tight clearances for a quiet engine and excellent longevity. These fit 1979 to 1984 1340cc Shovelhead models. Note that because of the wider ring pack used for stability, some stock cylinders may require the oil return holes to be relocated. Additionally, the top compression ring requires extra clearance during gapping, so be sure to follow the technical notes in the box for a perfect fit.
