Converting an 883 Sportster to a 1200 is one of the best bang-for-buck upgrades you can do, and this KB Performance piston kit makes it straightforward. Designed for 1986 to 2022 XL883 models, these standard bore pistons work with your stock, unmodified cylinder heads to provide a reliable 9:1 compression ratio. They are manufactured from T6 heat-treated 390 hypereutectic cast aluminum with 16% silicone, which keeps thermal expansion low so you can run tight clearances for a quiet, long-lasting top end. Sold as a set, these flat-top pistons include wrist pins and rings. Please note that for 2004 and later 883 models, the stock cylinder liners are too thin to bore out, so you will need to source 1200cc cylinders to complete the conversion.
