About This Product
Designed for 1979 to 1984 1340cc Shovelhead models, this KB Performance forged piston kit provides a +.010 inch oversize for your next top-end rebuild. These pistons are engineered to provide a 9.0:1 compression ratio with a 112cc head, utilizing 4032 aluminum alloy for superior strength and resistance to detonation. The forging process creates a piston that can withstand higher stresses than traditional cast versions. Sold as a set, the kit includes offset wrist pins, retaining rings, and a full set of piston rings. Because these pistons use offset pins to reduce noise and wear, they must be installed in the correct front and rear orientation. Be sure to allow for the recommended .001 inch additional piston-to-wall clearance required for forged alloys to ensure long-term engine health.
