Give your Ironhead Sportster a performance boost with this high-compression Wiseco piston kit. Designed for 1972 to 1985 XL1000 models, these .010" oversize forged pistons raise the compression ratio to 10:1 from the stock 9:1. This kit is intended for use with standard XL 1000 cylinder heads and will not fit XR-style heads. The forged construction provides superior strength for the older air-cooled motor. Sold as a set, the kit includes pistons, wrist pins, Hastings rings, and circlips. It is a fantastic way to wake up an older Sportster during a rebuild, providing better efficiency and more power while maintaining the classic character of the Ironhead engine.
