About This Product
This S&S forged piston kit is an ideal choice for overhauling a 1340cc Shovelhead from 1979 to 1984. These are .010 inch oversize pistons with a 3-1/2 inch bore and a standard 8:1 compression ratio, designed to work with the stock 4-1/4 inch stroke. S&S has engineered these with an advanced alloy and skirt profile that delivers the quiet operation of a cast piston with the durability of a forged component. Sold as a set, the kit comes complete with wrist pins, clips, and rings. It is essential that a qualified mechanic checks all clearances before installation and follows the proper break-in procedure to ensure a long engine life.
