About This Product
This Samwel black 12-volt generator provides a 6-volt to 12-volt conversion for 1932–1957 OHV and Flathead Big Twins, 45-inch Flatheads, and 1954–1957 KH and XL Sportster models. It is a 2-brush replacement for the original 3-brush generators that are no longer available, replacing OEM parts 29975-30 and 1501-30. Note that 2-brush generators require replacing the stock mechanical cut-out regulator with an electronic regulator for proper function. If you are upgrading your vintage Harley to 12-volt electrics while keeping the generator charging system, this is the unit you need.
