About This Product
WAI Global unmoulded alternator stator. The windings are exposed rather than potted in epoxy. Heat dissipates instead of building up and cooking the coils. This one fits 1976 to 1980 FL and FX Big Twin models. Shovelhead stators usually fail from overheating rather than from wear. Pull the primary. Check the rotor bolts for looseness. Fit a new derby seal and gasket while the cover is off. Check the charging output before you button it all back up.
