This JIMS sprocket shaft bearing installation tool measures 2.060 inches in length and is designed for 1977 to 2003 Sportster and 1994 to 2002 Buell models. It is intended to be used as part of a system alongside the main sprocket shaft bearing installer. You start the installation with this 2.060-inch tool to drive the bearing until the tool runs out of threads. At that point, you switch over to the longer 2.500-inch version to finish pushing the bearing into its final seated position. Having the correct length spacers ensures the bearing is installed straight and to the proper depth without putting undue stress on the shaft or the bearing races.
