About This Product
This 5-gallon flatside stretched gas tank is designed to fit 1984-1999 Softail and 1985-1986 FXWG models. Sold as a pair, these tanks accept standard 1983-up style screw-type gas caps for a clean, traditional look. The stretched portion is a cosmetic weld-on feature that adds significant length to your bike's profile without holding extra fuel. Keep in mind that wide or oversized seats may require some modification to clear the tanks properly. As with any custom sheet metal, we strongly recommend you pressure test, seal, and test fit these tanks before sending them off for paint. The current coating is strictly for rust prevention during storage. This high-quality replacement carries OEM number 516427.
