The transmission access cover on vintage Sportsters and K-models is press-fit onto two dowel pins, which can make removal a real chore. This Jims puller tool is designed specifically for 1954 to 1985 K, KH, and XL Sportster models to solve this exact problem. It allows you to pull the cover evenly and safely, preventing the cover from binding or the dowel pins from being damaged. Trying to pry these covers off often results in gouged gasket surfaces or cracked aluminum, but this tool provides the controlled force needed for a clean removal. It is an essential item for anyone servicing these classic ironhead transmissions.
