For those needing maximum mechanical advantage when starting their Big Twin, this Evolution Industries 102-tooth starter ring gear kit is a powerful option. It is designed as a conversion kit for 1994 to 1997 Big Twin models, moving from the standard 66-tooth count to a much higher 102-tooth count. This kit includes the necessary pinion gear to match. While it can also be used to convert 1990 to 1993 models, you must carefully check the clearance between the starter ring gear and the inner primary housing during installation. This kit is sold individually and provides a significant increase in cranking leverage for stubborn engines.
